Are you thinking about how to elevate the work of your non-profit, but you're not sure where to start? Join us as we demystify government relations.
OVERVIEW
Building strong relationships with elected officials is an important element of non-profit work. Yet many non-profits and charities don’t know where to start, how to start and what legal and governance considerations need to be factored in. Join our panel of non-profit sector experts in advocacy, government relations, governance and law as they share their knowledge and experience on how to get your board and organization ready to engage with government and share your story.
This session will explore:
- The legal rules and responsibilities of your organization and the board.
- How to craft your key messages.
- Who in your organization should be meeting with government.
- Who you should engage with first within government and ministry mandates.
The session will include a panel discussion followed by small group discussions for attendees to consult with our panel members and explore their organization’s unique circumstances.
