How to and best practices in social media.

When done well, social media helps non-profits recruit volunteers, increase their brand reputation, and bring in donor dollars.

• 20% of donors have made a donation through Facebook’s fundraising tools.
• On average, 57% of traffic to fundraising campaign websites comes from social media posts.
• 1/3 of mobile donation traffic on Giving Tuesday comes from Facebook.
• 84% of Facebook users share posts to show their support for a cause and highlight issues that are important to them.

In this 2.5-hour workshop you will discover:

• How organizations can best use social media to tell stories about their brand.
• How to communicate your organization’s message via photos, videos and posts.
• How to ensure social media continuity, even if staff or volunteers change.
• How to schedule posts.
• Options for fundraising on social media.
• Audience segmentation - which social media platforms reach which audiences.
• This workshop will also include a basic component on how to post to Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok as a brand.

Space is limited. Registration is required.

Registration deadline: Monday, June 12, 2023.

Tech requirements of participants: A working computer or tablet with the ability to connect to Zoom as well as a working microphone and speakers in order to participate in the Q & A.
