The first in a three- part series on creating effective and powerful partnerships.

Session #1: Defining Your Partnership

There is no ‘one size fits all’ partnership.  Arguably there are as many types of partnering arrangement as there are partnerships.  This hour-long session defines partnership and explores the different types in the spectrum of partnerships from transactional to transformational.  How traditional or disruptive you want your partnership to be is useful to consider as partners come together to co-create and manage your partnership.

This is the first in a three-part series hosted by Jocelyn Daw that looks at the ins and outs of effective partnerships. Click for details on Session 2 and Session 3. Sessions can be purchased individually or you can register here for a three-session package (for the price of two!)

ABOUT THIS SERIES

Series: Building Effective Partnerships by Investing in the Partnering Process

Now more than ever, the world has become increasingly complex. The world’s challenges are so interconnected that a collaborative approach is needed to tackle the various social, economic and political challenges that impact our communities.

Signing an agreement to partner is relatively straightforward, but partnering effectively is significantly more challenging than partners often realize. Paying attention and investing quality time in the partnering process itself is critical to success. Effective collaboration requires common understanding across partners, collective leadership, and strong process and relationship-management. With these critical elements in place, partnerships can thrive and be successful. Without them, partnerships are likely to under-perform or fail altogether.

These lunch and learns are suited for non-profit professionals who are thinking about entering the partnership space and those with partnership experience who wish to deepen their understanding of the partnership process.

Join ECVO in for three introductory lunch 'n' learn events that will help strengthen your skills and practices in creating effective and powerful partnerships.
