WHAT TO EXPECT
View the full session breakdown, including learning outcomes.
Session 1 – Respect in the Workplace – Thursday, May 27 @ 11:30am - 1:00pm
It is difficult to know exactly what is considered acceptable behaviour in the workplace these days, especially when there has been a history of power imbalances and emerging diversity, equity and inclusion topics. Please join us to learn more about the spectrum of respect and when behaviours begin to “cross the line” into disrespectful and potentially harassing behaviours.
Session 2 - Managing Mental Health – Tuesday, June 1 @ 11:30am - 1:00pm
1 in 5 Canadians are living with mental illness. At work, it often shows up as behavioural issues that require performance management. Because of the stigma associated with mental illness, most managers and business owners are unsure how to have an open conversation with employees about challenges happening in the workplace.
Session 3 - Managing Working from Home (or return to work hybrid approach) – Tuesday, June 8 @ 11:30am - 1:00pm
A lot has changed over the past year and it's more important than ever that organizations are adapting to their employees’ needs regarding remote working and accommodation. This session will review HR fundamentals in the context of our ever-changing working environment.
Session 4 - Managing Workplace Conversations – Tuesday, June 15 @ 11:30am - 1:00pm
Organizations should consider the possibility that even after essential workplace rules are relaxed and employees are able to return to their workplace, some employees may not want to, or may even refuse. Employers’ responses to this will depend upon the facts of each case, as well as government orders. This mini-session is designed to provide you with tools (and interactive discussion) on how to have those conversations with your employees.
Session 5 - Roundtable Q&A – Tuesday, June 22 @ 11:30am - 1:00pm
Please join us for the final session to ask all your HR-related questions from the above sessions. Questions will be asked for in advance and we will walk though the answers to your questions in this 1-hour interactive group session!
