Are you asking the most effective questions to encourage change in your organization?

Hildy Gottlieb is a social scientist and asker of powerful questions and she now shares those questions with audiences around the world through the Catalytic Thinking Framework. Join Hildy on September 29, 2021 as she walks us through how to create successful movements and inspire new ways of thinking for a more equitable future.

The Edmonton Chamber of Voluntary Organizations is committed to building the social justice muscle needed to transform the non-profit community. We therefore invite you to attend the second session in our ongoing speaker series intended to explore how alternative systems of knowledge might be used to reimagine how we structure and run our organizations.

In this lunch-time session, Hildy Gottlieb — the co-founder of Creating the Future, a global non-profit that teaches people how to create systems change via the questions they ask — will take us through how to create successful movements. She is a TEDx speaker, as well as a contributor to the Stanford Social Innovation Review and a blogger at Medium.com. At the heart of her work is the teaching that powerful and positive movements for change are dependent on the types of questions being asked. Questions such as:

  • What factors lead to successful social progress?
  • Why do some change efforts succeed while others struggle?

As Edmonton non-profits, corporations and all levels of government engage in thinking and creating solutions to create safer, more just and equitable communities, asking the right questions will be paramount to successful change.

This is the second in a series of speakers discussing transformative leadership in the non-profit community. Stay tuned for more details about future speakers.
