Organizations with strong financial management skills are better equipped to fulfill their mission and deliver high-quality services.

With financial experts from Deloitte, Lesley Conley from the Centre for Public Legal Education Alberta and Hilary Rose CPA, CA, we're putting on this valuable course to get organizations "fiscally fit."

This exceptional program was developed specifically for the non-profit sector and will strengthen the financial skills of non-profit professionals and board members, empowering the sector overall. 

The course is 21 hours in length and will be delivered over 3 days and is eligible for the Canada Alberta Job Grant, which if approved, will cover up to 2/3 of the training cost. 

WHAT TO EXPECT

The Program

 Day 1: September 12th, 8:30am - 4:00pm

  • Session 1: Financial Roles and Responsibilities

  • Session 2: Financial Policies and Procedures

Day 2: September 17th,  8:30am – 4:00pm

  • Session 3: Financial Statements

  • Session 4: Developing and Tracking Budgets

Day 3: September 19th, 8:30am – 4:00pm

  • Session 5: Year End Preparation

  • Session 6: Compliance and Reporting

Lunch will be provided daily, alongside some morning snacks and refreshments throughout the day.

Registration is for ALL workshops. 

This opportunity is especially beneficial to organizations that:

  • Have fewer than ten staff

  • Have multiple funding sources to deal with

  • Are a nonprofit or charitable organization

  • Have minimal financial training and experience, or are looking for a refresher

  • Would like to improve their knowledge of financial practices

Our team is comprised of professionals from Deloitte, The Center for Public Legal Education Alberta and Chartered Accountant Hilary Rose.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation by Registrant
The registration deadline for this event is September 5, 2018. Full refunds may be offered for cancellations made by July 30, 2018, less any administration fees. A partial refund (50%) may be issued for cancellations made by August 22, 2018. After August 22, 2018, no refunds will be offered. To request a cancellation, please email training@ecvo.ca

In the event of a cancellation of the event by the ECVO, registrants will be notified immediately via email and a full refund will be issued.
